According to the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS), which was issued today, there are 186 problems per 100 (PP100) vehicles on average in the sector, an increase of 6 PP100 from 2022. The study looks at how 2020 model-year vehicles, including those with new technologies, are now performing in terms of quality, component replacement, and appeal. It assists automakers in designing and building better cars that will withstand the test of time and promote higher resale value. Higher performance is indicated by a lower PP100.
