What's New for 2023 Lexus RZ?

The big new thing for this vehicle is that it's all-electric. It's using platforms from other vehicles, but this will be the first electric vehicle that isn't based on an ICE vehicle from Lexus.

So far, the RZ 450e appears to be the sole trim that has been released to the public in terms of information. It will have an all-wheel drive standard, which means you get a lot of control and options for going off-road in this BEV SUV. It will be using a two-engine motor for its all-electric feel. The range is thought to be around 225 miles or so using a 71.4 kWh stat. It will have about 5 seats or so, according to the rumor.

It's not yet known what the MPG will be for city or highway driving, and the exact amount of trunk space is also not known yet. Lexus will be focusing on electric vehicles going forward, with the expectation to be all-electric in their lineup by the end of the decade.

Lexus Safety Sense 3.0 is likely to be included when this vehicle is released. It will also have pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control to cut down how much you have to actively lookout while driving in predictable situations like traffic.

There's also the driver monitoring system that can offer warnings and other interventions if the driver is acting drowsy. For example, if the system assesses that the driver isn't alert enough for safety, it can bring the vehicle to a safe stop and flash the hazard lights.

This suite of safety features also has a warning if a vehicle is in your blind spot, an option for warning for lane departures, as well as one to help you stay in your lane.
