Image: 2026 Lexus RZ Gains Enhanced Power and Performance

The Lexus RZ is back for the 2026 model year, now boasting more power and a longer driving range. These enhancements deliver a higher level of performance without compromising on efficiency. Driving enthusiasts will be particularly drawn to the new RZ 550e F SPORT AWD, which offers exhilarating acceleration and a more aggressive, sport-inspired design.

A Stronger Punch With More Miles

For 2026, Lexus has reengineered the RZ’s battery system to increase both power and range. The RZ 350e FWD, powered by a single electric motor, now generates an additional 20 horsepower—bringing the total to 221. This results in quicker acceleration and an estimated range of up to 300 miles on a full charge.

The dual-motor AWD version maintains its previous power output, but benefits from a noticeable boost in range. The updated RZ 450e AWD now delivers an EPA-estimated 260 miles per charge, up from last year’s 220 miles.

Faster Charging

Charging the RZ is now quicker and more convenient, thanks to the addition of a North American Charging System (NACS) port, which replaces the previous CCS port. With DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes.

All-New RZ 550e F SPORT AWD

For drivers who crave performance, the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD stands at the top of the lineup. It produces a commanding 402 horsepower and features a new M Mode that enables simulated manual gear changes using paddle shifters.

This trim also makes a bold visual statement. Distinctive black exterior accents and exclusive 20-inch aero wheels enhance its sporty aesthetic while contributing to aerodynamic efficiency. A new light gray paint option, called Wind, is offered exclusively on this model.
