If you love luxury SUVs, then you are going to enjoy owning the all-new 2020 Lexus GX. There were some changes made that makes this particular vehicle look nicer than its predecessor. First, the interior for the premium and luxury trim once had a mahogany color, and it's been replaced with gray Sapele Wood. A Rioja red color is also available for the upholstery. Also, there is a new grille, and the headlights were redesigned, new driving aids that have become standard, new packages for off-road capabilities, and it's now part of the second generation of the Lexus GX family.
There are three trims to choose from, which are the base, premium, and luxury models. Each comes with rear defrost, privacy glass, power windows, sun/moonroof, running boards, rear spoiler, front/rear on and off-road tires, full-size spare, aluminum wheels, trailer hitch receiver, and an interior cargo shade. You will also get climate control and dual-zone ac. For the base model, you can get optional smart device integration, cooled driver seat, and heated front seats.
With the Premium model, you get front/rear performance tires, fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers, standard smart device integration, optional rear ac, heated rear seats, and quad bucket seats. The Luxury trim has everything that both the base and premium model has along with a heated steering wheel, premium sound system, entertainment system, leather seats, and auto-leveling headlights. On the Luxury model, the rear ac is standard. All three trims will also come with an MP3 Player, HD Radio, Satellite Radio, CD player, Auxiliary Audio Input, an AM/FM Stereo.
What's worth noting is that regardless of the trim level you pick out, they all have an incredible V8 engine, four-wheel drive, and a six-speed automatic transmission. Plus, with the trailer hitch, you can tow up to 6,500 pounds.
Also, you get four-wheel ABS and four-wheel discs brakes. The horsepower is 301, and the torque is 329. This powerful engine gets 15 mpg in city driving, and 19 mpg on the highway. The rear suspension is Multi-link, and the front suspension is Wishbone. The notable difference here is that the active suspension system and the air suspension is only found on the Luxury trim.
All three trims have the Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control, daytime running lights, child safety locks, traction control, integrated turn signal mirrors, blind spot monitor, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist. There are also plenty of airbags and a hands-free communication system. You can even hookup your wireless phone.
The keyless start is also in all of the trims. However, on the base model, the rear parking aid is optional but standard on the other two. The fog lamps are optional on the premium model. Other features that all three trims happen to have is the alarm system, back up camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, and a vehicle anti-theft system. It's good to know that all three trims do not compromise when it comes to the ample amount of safety features.
