Monday, October 23, team up with South County Lexus to participate in the annual Chanje Golf Classic & Gala.
The tournament will feature 18 holes of golf, lunch, a gala, awards and a silent auction. Check-in starts at 10 a.m. sharp, followed by tee-time at noon. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Golf registration includes greens fee, golf cart, drink ticket, dinner and awards for winners. Non-golfers are also encouraged to attend, as this event is open to the public. If you can’t make the all-day event, register for the dinner and participate in the auction ($75).
Proceeds will benefit children in Haiti who were affected by the 2010 earthquake that devastated Port au Prince, killing more than 250,000 people and causing the permanent displacement of more than one million. Put on by the Chanje Movement, the event is one that is dear to all of us here at our store.
According to their website, “What began as a handful of related projects in the communities surrounding Port au Prince has grown into a network of local and international partners who together are seeing transformation in the communities and the lives of their inhabitants.”
