The Lexus LS was completely redesigned for the 2018 model year. For the 2019 model year, the LS has received a couple of upgrades. All of these upgrades are on in the interior of the vehicle and focuses on the technological features. Starting off, the LS adds Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa functions. The 24-inch heads-up display is now available as a standalone option. Finally, the semi-automated lane-change feature is now part of an optional safety package.


There are three trims available for the 2019 Lexus LS. To create the ultimate experience, there are a number of available options such as rear screen touch controls, executive class seating, and art wood Herringbone trim. The LS 500 Hybrid trim offers all of the standard features of the LS 500 with a hybrid engine in place of the standard engine. The LS 500 F-Sport offers many of the features of the LS 500 with the addition of a number of sports inspired design and equipment features. Unique features of the LS 500 F-Sport include 28-way power front sport seats with enhanced bolsters, LFA-inspired gauges, and F-Sport perforated leather-trimmed shift knob and steering wheel.


The 2019 Lexus LS 500 offers two powertrains. The standard 3.5 liter Twin Turbo V-6 engine that offers up to 416 horsepower and 442 foot-pounds of torque. In 0 to 60 tests, the Lexus LS 500 achieve a time of 4.6 seconds. For those who want the ultimate in fuel efficiency, there is the optional 3.5 Liter V-6 Hybrid engine that offers up to 354 horsepower from a two engine system. The hybrid engine system has a fuel efficiency rating of 26 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.


The 2019 Lexus LS has a number of standard active and passive safety features. Standard safety features, on the LS 500, include 10 airbags throughout the cabin, a panoramic view camera, windshield wiper de-icer, high performance brakes - six-piston aluminum calipers with two-piece 15.7-inch ventilated rotors, Intuitive Parking Assist, LED rear combination lamps, Tire Pressure Monitor System, Blind Spot Monitor, Pop-up hood, Hill-start Assist Control, Smart stop technology, Active Stabilizers, and Headlamp Wipers.
