2019 LEXUS ES MODEL REVIEW

WHAT'S NEW FOR THE 2019 LEXUS ES?

The 2019 Lexus ES is the seventh generation of the Lexus ES and is a great refresh for the popular sedan. The trims are built on the Lexus Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, which is a more rigid chassis than previously used. It allows for a longer, wider and lower car. An added brace behind the back seats for additional structural stability is new but means that the rear seats cannot be folded down completely.

An eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission brings more power efficiently to the wheels, and the Standard Lexus Safety System 2.0 offers a more comprehensive suite of driver assists than ever before. Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa are both new features for the Lexus ES, and Apple CarPlay will be included initially with available navigation systems and then later for all models (Apple CarPlay cannot be added after purchase). Amazon Alexa will initially only be available with Android phones, with the iPhone app becoming available later in 2018. The cabin has been restyled and has an available 12.3 inch display and multiple charging options.
