Specs at a Glance

The Lexus UX 200 has just some moderate updates for 2021. This year, the Lexus builds on its already-generous safety package by adding some additional standard safety aids. Besides the safety updates, the UX 200 continues to stand out for its quiet and comfortable ride, exceptional fuel economy, and agile handling, particularly if you're trying to drive in crowded or tight spaces. The lineup stays the same for the UX this year, including the base trim level, called the UX 200, and the Luxury, which is the top trim level that you can order for the Lexus. There are some stylistic differences and interior differences for both trims that may influence your decision about which trim level you want to get.

Performance

The performance characteristics for the base UX 200 and the UX 200 Luxury are the same in 2021. The two vehicles are both driven by a gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters. This engine has a four-cylinder design. With this engine beneath their hoods, both UX 200 trims can get 169 HP in maximum power production and 151 LB-FT in maximum torque. Both have front-wheel drive, which is the lone drivetrain offered for the UX 200 this year, and they come with an automatic transmission. The Luxury has a shiftable transmission with paddle shifters located on the steering wheel. A separate hybrid is also available for the UX 200.

Appearance

There are some appearance differences between the UX 200 and UX 200 Luxury that set them apart on the road. The UX 200 has full LED lighting with LED lights in front and tail lights in the back. The UX 200 Luxury also has LED lights, but its lights are upgraded for improved visibility. Chrome touches give both trims a polished and upscale look. The UX 200 Luxury builds on the UX 200's exterior offerings with larger 18-inch wheels and sportier exterior design elements. Rain-sensing wipers are a helpful safety aid for the Luxury, and it also has a sporty suspension.

Features

The list of features is also slightly adjusted for the base and Luxury trim levels. At a minimum, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard for the UX 200 in 2021. The base trim has a seven-inch display screen with its infotainment system, while you'll get a 10.3-inch display with the Luxury. The Luxury adds parking sensors and blind-spot monitoring as its safety aids. It also gets premium leather upholstery and sporty seats.
