The History of Lexus Hybrid Models

Lexus first made an entry into the green market with hybrid models back in 2005 with what was known as the 2006 RX 400h. The hybrids have kept flowing like water ever since, and it leads us up to the present moment where you have many different hybrid vehicles from Lexus that you can choose from. In today's world, Lexus offers us four different hybrids, and you have two hybrid crossover that makes everything even more appealing. Despite how Toyota has decided to offer plug-in models with its hybrids, Lexus remains with the more traditional hybrids.

ES 300h

Known as a midsize hybrid from Lexus, the ES 300h first entered the scene back in 2012. Even up to 2019, the ES 300h continues to soldier on with refreshing new options built into the vehicle. All of this gets offered with one great, but you have a couple of different packages available to you. When you open the hood, you'll find a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder gas engine that they have closely coordinated with an electric motor. You can run from zero to 60 in 8.1 seconds with the ES 300h, and get 39 mpg on the highway and 40 miles per gallon in the city.

GS 450h

If you want a Lexus model with more style, pick the 450h F Sport. This car will blow you away with its excellent features. This offers you the second midsize sedan that they put into the Lexus portfolio. You also have a suspension-and-appearance upgrade that makes this car better than ever before. This car follows the Lexus hybrid formula, and the motor and the electric engine can work in conjunction with each other, or you can choose to have them work separately of each other. The GS 450h is a wicked fast car that can race from zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds. You get gas mileage of 29 mpg with city driving and 34 mpg on the highway.
